OUR SITES ARE FLORA AND FAUNA HABITAT PROJECTS.
OUR SITES ARE LANDCARE PROJECTS.
These projects are normally on Council land, where we have the management rights
to create a landscape, which is in turn, funded by the public’s choice of The Green Funeral
as the final resting place for their family pet.
Our sites are an opportunity for those of us that own a pet
and those of us that live near our sites to contribute toward a better environment.
BECAUSE ENVIRONMENTAL CARE IS ABOUT EVERYDAY DECISIONS,
YOUR CHOICE OF A GREEN FUNERAL BURIAL, IS YOUR GIFT TO THE PLANET.
THAT IS WHY IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DISTINGUISH A GREEN FUNERAL SITE
FROM ANY OTHER TREE PLANTING PROGRAM.
- except that our trees are healthier & grow faster.
QUEENSLAND – CAIRNS: ANDERSON ST FOR PETS
This is a 100ha Flora restoration site and is owned by the Cairns Regional Council and exists on the western side of the public cemetery. It is dissected by a walking and cycle path that forms part of the cairns cycleway project.
The Pet burial facility is located at the northern end of the cycleway and can be accessed from the pathway joining Anderson St or from the public cemetery at the northern end.
SOUTH AUSTRALIA – Adelaide The tree planting program is in accordance with advice from Trees For Life, and the trees chosen are strictly natives to the region. When the memorial tree is planted we photograph it, storing a copy on the database, and emailing each customer with an update. It normally takes the trees, between 12 and 24 months to reach the pet, at which time you will note the rapid growth rate, a change in the condition of the leaves and the sprouting of new branches low down on the tree base. When this happens we no longer monitor the tree as its survival is guaranteed. These trees can easily be accessed by the public, and we encourage you to visit the site. If so please take the memorial tree a drink, in this climate it is always welcome.
